Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK Women Wing has officially launched its Digital & Virtual Membership Campaign

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) AJK Women Wing has officially launched its Digital Membership Campaign, a landmark initiative aimed at modernizing political registration and empowering women across Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Inaugurated on April 21, 2026, by AJK Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore at the Central Press Club in Muzaffarabad, this campaign represents a vital step toward grassroots political organization.

The drive is being executed under the directives of Faryal Talpur, President of the PPP Women Wing and In-charge of AJK Political Affairs.

Strategic Objectives

The digital membership initiative serves several key political and social purposes:

  1. Grassroots Mobilization: The campaign seeks to take the PPP’s message “door to door,” ensuring effective female representation at every tier of the organizational structure.
  2. Election Readiness: Launched ahead of upcoming general elections, the drive aims to secure a two-thirds majority by consolidating female voters and activists.
  3. Modernizing Outreach: By utilizing digital forms, the party aims to streamline registration, making it more accessible for women in remote areas.
  4. Advocacy for Rights: The campaign highlights the party’s commitment to women’s rights, inspired by the legacy of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

During the launch, PM Rathore emphasized that women’s empowerment is the “need of the hour” and that the PPP remains a “party of martyrs” dedicated to national interest over personal gain. Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme, also attended, urging workers to stay steadfast to the ideology of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto to ensure victory in the polls.
